Syed Qaiser Ahmed is an experienced finance and FinTech executive with 20 years of experience and a proven record of creating and delivering value.

Currently, he is an active investor in authentic restaurants and a co-founder of a tech startup in the UK. He is also an operational and financial consultant for local businesses.

 

Syed Qaiser Ahmed has extensive experience delivering strategy formulation and its implementation through the efficient and effective running of finance and operations independently during critically time-sensitive phases for mid-sized companies and operating units of large organisations in startups, M&A, and cost-cutting.

 

Trained with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) in Accounting, Audit, Finance, and Tax, Syed has also completed strategy and leadership development courses from Lahore University of Management Sciences and Harvard University.

 

Developing his multi-sector experience in auditing, accounting, operations, and strategy development and execution, he has independently established a business unit in a corporation’s setup entailing the planning, financing, approvals and launch. Syed led the accounting and operations of a retail pharmacy chain to expand its branches across a city. He worked as the assistant financial controller during the launching stage of the first luxury hotel in Kabul, Afghanistan. He was Director Corporate Strategy at Etisalat Afghanistan a leading global telecommunications operator. He was a focal lead in developing and launching the first 3G network in Afghanistan. He was assigned the role of completely designing, developing, and leading the strategy and implementation of the startup business of mobile financial services Hawala.  

Having worked in various positions in different organisations, he has developed professional relationships, foresight, and experience that have enabled him to venture into his own business.

 

His background in FinTech and finance gives him a firm grasp on the impact of revenue, costs, and cash flows on a business model's lifecycle. This makes it easy to plan, budget, and execute the project with professional financial discipline.

 

 

Syed Qaiser Ahmed has a multi-cultural background, having worked in three countries and with five diverse companies in challenging roles, which have equipped him to learn and apply current management, operational, and leadership methods to maximize productivity.
